Services

Ashley Gardens has a specialized area devoted to the needs of older people that are experiencing some memory problems through forms of Dementia. Our Activities Co-ordinator uses programmes and games on Reminiscence to enrich lives and stimulate conversation topics.

We pride ourselves on the activities and social stimulation given to clients in our care and have very regular outings and entertainers frequently visit the home to provide live music, quizzes, comedy etc.

The Annual Charity Open day is a very important yearly event where all proceeds are donated to a chosen Charity. Clients and staff of Ashley Gardens and their friends and families busy themselves with the preparation and running of the event always with a wonderful outcome for all.

Ashley Gardens feel that it is of utmost importance to ensure that clients feel empowered and are able to make informed decisions and choices, activities and ideas are discussed with our clients to ensure that they receive the social stimulation that they want on an individual basis. Regular "Residents Meetings" are held with clients and their families to discuss preferred choices, this is further carried out on an individual basis during the care plan review sessions held monthly or more often if required.

The Activities Co-ordinator also provides a weekly shopping trolley stocked with requested items, this helps to empower our clients regarding financial decisions and satisfies their wants and needs.

Religious Services

Ashley Gardens is able to cater for all religious beliefs, St Andrews Church is located less than a minute's stroll from the home and they regularly provide in-house services for clients in Ashley Gardens and we would endeavor to cater for any other religious beliefs where requested.
